Bring Back the Senate Lunch Room
Baby steps for Senators.

One would think that the Senate working in a bipartisan manner would be easier than landing on the moon. Today, it seems that smart money would be on the moon.
With apologies to Neil Armstrong, perhaps the Senate needs one small step to get started. It sure would be a giant leap for us all.
It’s Wednesday, the fifth of February; otherwise known as the day that the president everyone knows is guilty will be acquitted in the Senate.
It’s an awful day for our nation. It’s a terrible time. So, I am aware, that people old enough to remember, might think the following something Emily Litella might write.
Gilda Radner played Emily on Saturday Night Live. She was an old woman with bad hearing who would do short Op-eds on Weekend Update. She always misunderstood what something was about; her outrage was always due to malapropisms.
Here she is complaining about violins on television.
On today of all days, why am I bringing up the old Senate lunchroom? I can hear Gilda now…
If only these young men would eat together….
Although I haven’t figured out a good punch line, yet.
